THREE THINGS LECTURE SERIES: CHRISTINE SUN KIM

Limited Seating - Please RSVP!

We are extremely excited to host Berlin-based artist Christine Sun Kim for our next installment of the Three Things lecture series. This series asks contemporary artists to present on a few things that are informing their work, as opposed to presenting a traditional artist lecture about his or her work .

Christine, who has been deaf since birth, explores the medium of sound in work that connects sound to drawing, painting, and performance. She will discuss her life-long relationship with sign language interpreters and captions in movies and on television, how both function as an extension of her voice and understanding of how sound works for her. All in attendance will receive a limited edition object by the artist (and a free adult beverage from our friends at Fort Point Beer Co. and Alysian Wines)
