Three Things Lecture Series: Brian Roettinger

Join us next Thursday for our next installment of the THREE THINGS Lecture Series, featuring LA-based artist and graphic designer Brian Roettinger. Brian will discuss a few things that are informing his work right now, not so much in the form of a traditional artist lecture, but more as a conversation using the "things" as a jumping off point.

Dubbed a "California Print Junkie" by T Magazine, Brian got his start designing record jackets, show flyers, and zines for the L.A. punk and hardcore scene in the 80's and 90's. He's managed to carry that D.I.Y. ethos into his current work, blending it with high-concept thinking to design printed media for cultural institutions, artists, architects, and musicians like No Age, Liars, Beach House, and Jay Z. He is also the contributor the THE THING's issue 25.

PLEASE RSVP TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT
(the event is free and open to the public, but space is limited to the first 100 people and these talks tend to fill up quickly)

This series was made possible by the Phyllis C. Wattis Foundation, with support from Intersection for the Arts and Fort Point Beer Co, who will be providing delicious beverages for all.
