The Thing Quarterly

THE THING IS $120 for a one year subscription (4 issues)

In subscribing to four issues of THE THING you will receive a quarterly periodical in the form of an object. Each year, four artists, writers, musicians or filmmakers are invited by the editors (Jonn Herschend and Will Rogan) to create an everyday object that somehow incorporates text. This object will be reproduced and hand packed at a wrapping party and then mailed to the homes of the subscribers with the help of the United States Postal Service.

THE THING’s current cycle of subscriptions (issues 5-8) will begin with an issue by Lucy Pullen in August and continue with issues by Guillermo & Calzadilla (issue 6), Jonathan Lethem (issue 7), and Trevor Paglen (issue 8). The issues will arrive in the homes of the subscribers beginning in August 2008 and ending in July of 2009.

THE THING is a one year commitment, and we do not offer refunds once your subscription cycle begins.
