THE THING IS $140 for a one year subscription (4 issues)
In subscribing to four issues of THE THING you will receive a quarterly periodical in the form of an object. Each year, four artists, writers, musicians or filmmakers are invited by the editors (Jonn Herschend and Will Rogan) to create an everyday object that somehow incorporates text. This object will be reproduced and hand packed at a wrapping party and then mailed to the homes of the subscribers with the help of the United States Postal Service. The subscription price of $140 does not include shipping.
THE THING’s current year of subscriptions(issues 8-11) will begin with an issue by artist and writer Trevor Paglen; and will continue with visual artist Ryan Gander; and writer/radio personality Starlee Kine; and will end with Chris Johanson.
THE THING is a one year commitment, and we do not offer refunds once your subscription cycle begins.
