Stendhal's Kite is by our favorite Scottish artist and poet: Thomas A. Clark. This classic yellow diamond kite features text by the 19th century French writer Stendhal. According to Clark, the quote comes from a famous remark, often quoted in discussions on aesthetics "Beauty is a promise of happiness." When the kite is flying, the promise is fulfilled. But we also like the fact that you could hang it on a wall, as a continual promise. Get out and fly a kite...or leave it on your wall as reminder.
