Issue 19 was by visual artist David Shrigley. Our first “Travel Issue,” it was produced in collaboration with designer Matt Singer and consisted of a leather travel wallet with gold foiled text. Inside the wallet there were four double-sided, removable phrase cards and a 24-page passport book (which could also be removed). The phrase cards, in David’s handwriting, featured quips like "Can I have your shoes?” and “Please help me.” The 24-page passport book, written and illustrated by the artist, was a meditation on travel, existentialism, and pool splashing.
