Issue 25 was by LA-based graphic designer and visual artist Brian Roettinger.  We worked with Brian to create a 412 page catalogue raisonné that collected, documented, and indexed the majority of his design work produced to date. The works, which were reproduced in black and white from photocopies, were not presented chronologically, nor was it clear, upon first inspection, which project was which: an early version was shown, sometimes just a sketch, and in some cases, the final printer proofs. Unlike a traditional monograph, Brian's re-imagined interpretation was a testament to the process itself, and underscored the duality of his approach to design, which is both visibly chaotic and meticulously organized.
