Issue 9 was by visual artist Ryan Gander and design collective Europa. It consisted of a package of parallel playing cards (cards playable on both sides), a poster with an explanation of the project, and instructions for a game of parallel blackjack. The issue came in four different colors (orange, green, purple and white).

The issue was launched with a parallel blackjack tournament at Lisson Gallery in London in Feb of 2009 followed by another event at the Berkeley Art Museum in the summer of 2009.
